Axept Acquires Aandarta: Swisscom Strengthens Its Position in the Abacus Ecosystem

Axept Business Software (Swisscom) acquires Aandarta, a specialist in Abacus real estate management. What this acquisition means for Abaimmo clients and Swiss IT leaders.

Axept Acquires Aandarta: Swisscom Strengthens Its Position in the Abacus Ecosystem

Axept Business Software, a Swisscom subsidiary, announced on 10 September 2026 the acquisition of Aandarta AG (Wallisellen), a Swiss specialist in Abaimmo — the real estate management module of Abacus (Netzwoche, 10 September 2026). This is Axept’s second acquisition of an Abacus partner in less than a year, following the absorption of Abacus Services in late 2025.

Context: Axept Is Building Switzerland’s Largest Abacus Competence Network

Axept is one of the leading integration partners for the Swiss ERP Abacus, operating under the umbrella of Swisscom Business Solutions. The group’s strategy has been clear since 2025: acquire regional Abacus partners to consolidate expertise and build a national reference hub within the Abacus ecosystem.

Aandarta is a company based in Wallisellen (canton of Zurich) specialising in Abaimmo, the Abacus real estate management module used by companies in construction, property administration, and real estate development. With this acquisition, Axept integrates a dedicated team focused on a vertical segment where demand for specialisation is high: Swiss real estate companies have distinct regulatory and functional requirements compared to the generalist ERP market. Post-acquisition, the Axept group surpasses 250 employees (Netzwoche, 10 September 2026).

Raphael Kohler, CEO of Axept, summarises the objective in the press release: “Gemeinsam schaffen wir ein führendes Kompetenzzentrum” — together, we are creating a leading competence centre for digital solutions in construction and real estate. Carmine De Masi, CEO of Aandarta, speaks of “new opportunities” to expand the service offering.

Impact for Businesses: What Concretely Changes

For existing Abaimmo clients, the immediate message is one of continuity. The entire Aandarta team is being retained, the Wallisellen office is maintained, and support contracts remain valid. The Aandarta brand will gradually disappear, though no precise timeline has been announced at this stage.

This pattern — team retained, brand absorbed — is common in integrator partner acquisitions. Day-to-day contacts do not change, but the contractual structure and client portal will migrate to the Axept environment. IT directors and systems managers should review their current support contracts: assignment clauses, service level agreements (SLAs), and data portability conditions in the event of future termination.

For organisations currently evaluating an ERP with a real estate module, this deal reduces the number of independent Abaimmo specialists on the Swiss market. This is not necessarily negative — Axept now has greater financial resources and broader national coverage — but it does reduce competition in this vertical segment, which may affect pricing leverage in future negotiations.

For companies in the construction and real estate development sectors, the integration of Aandarta into Axept creates a single partner capable of covering the full Abacus ERP chain: accounting, HR, CRM, and now real estate management. A one-stop Abacus shop of this scale did not exist before this acquisition.

What to Watch

The next 12 months will be critical on two fronts: the official communication of the Abaimmo roadmap under the Axept banner, and the quality of support during the brand transition period. Long-standing Aandarta clients have often built close relationships with consultants they know by name — too rapid an integration into Axept’s processes could generate friction. It is also worth monitoring whether Axept proceeds with a third acquisition in the Abacus ecosystem: the consolidation pattern initiated in 2025 does not appear to be finished.
