Access Construction, the construction division of The Access Group, launched Access Evo on 15 October 2026 in a simultaneous announcement across London and New York. The platform introduces agentic artificial intelligence capabilities into the group’s construction ERP ecosystem — transforming what it calls a “system of record” into a “system of action” (GlobeNewswire, 15 October 2026).
Background: A 40-Year Veteran Makes Its Agentic Move
The Access Group claims more than 40 years of experience in construction software and over 130,000 users across construction, real estate, infrastructure, and specialist trades (ibid.). Its construction ecosystem is built on three pillars: Access Coins (construction ERP), Access Fonn (mobile project management), and Access ConQuest (estimating platform, a reference in the UK market).
Access Evo is not a rebuild of these products — it is a cross-cutting AI layer that connects them. The goal: let intelligence flow between siloed site, finance, and field data without forcing teams to change interfaces or bolt on additional middleware.
Four Modules to Automate Decision-Making
Access Evo ships in four distinct modules, each targeting a precise operational use case (ibid.):
- Navigator — a personalised workspace that consolidates information, tasks, priorities, and communications from connected applications, eliminating the context-switching between dozens of disconnected tools.
- Researcher — a natural-language search agent that queries internal documents, analyses tender submissions, or drafts report content. In practice: a project manager querying their documentation in plain text instead of digging through shared drives.
- Assistants — role-specific AI agents (financial controller, site manager, buyer) that automate specialised tasks with built-in human-in-the-loop validation, preserving existing approval workflows.
- Workflow — a visual drag-and-drop interface for building connections between heterogeneous data sources, aimed at IT and ops teams who need to wire up data flows without heavy development.
Alex Boury, General Manager of Access Construction, frames the ambition: “the opportunity is far greater than adding another AI tool — it’s about connecting intelligence across the entire business to identify risks and support informed decision-making” (ibid.).
Impact for CIOs and CFOs
Security and data sovereignty. ISO 27001 certification is increasingly a mandatory requirement in public-sector and infrastructure tender documents. Access states that customer data never leaves their secure environment and is not used to train external AI models (ibid.). This directly addresses the concerns of CFOs around the confidentiality of contract and margin data.
For existing Access customers, this is an upgrade — not a migration. The platform is available in the UK, Ireland, United States, and Australia from day one. For the 130,000 current users of the Access Coins/Fonn/ConQuest ecosystem, adopting Access Evo is a continuity play within their existing contract, not a system change.
Competitive positioning. Sage Intacct Construction deployed its Finance Intelligence AI features in 2025. Procore and Oracle Primavera are also investing in embedded AI. Access differentiates by offering a native AI layer that connects ERP, mobile, and estimating within a single proprietary ecosystem — with no dependency on third-party integrations.
What to Watch
Real-world rollout across four geographies. The announcement confirms availability, but actual deployment — business configuration, ERP integrations, training — will take months. CIOs currently running an Access Coins project should enquire about the upgrade roadmap before incorporating this announcement into board presentations.
The depth of the partner network. In the UK, Access Construction’s indirect channel is well established. In the US and Australian markets — where Access Construction is a newer entrant — deployment velocity will depend directly on the capacity of the local partner network. That is the angle to monitor when assessing whether this announcement translates into licence volume before end of 2027.
