Unit4 announced in August 2026 the go-live of ERPx in two new Dutch municipalities: Delft and Eindhoven. Alongside these deployments, the vendor is launching two new analytical tools — Data Hub and FIX — and has appointed Christoffer Crona as SVP Global Sales Public Sector (Computable.nl, 20 August 2026).
Background: Unit4 Strengthens Its Public Sector Footprint
ERPx, the cloud-native successor to Unit4 Business World, has been positioned for several years as the platform of choice for complex public sector organisations: municipalities, universities, and public utilities. With Delft and Eindhoven now live, Unit4 extends a reference base that already includes several large Dutch municipalities on the platform.
The public sector sets a demanding bar for any ERP vendor: regulated budget processes, transparency requirements, lengthy decision cycles, and HR and finance teams subject to specific reporting obligations. Unit4’s ability to reference municipalities of this scale represents genuine operational validation against those criteria.
Ian Owen has also been appointed Global Industry Director, alongside Christoffer Crona. Both appointments at global level signal that the public sector is becoming a strategic growth axis for Unit4 internationally.
What Data Hub and FIX Bring to Public Finance Teams
Both tools address a recurring pain point in public organisations: operational data is scattered across modules, and finance teams spend significant time aggregating exports to produce management dashboards.
Data Hub connects ERPx data to external analytics tools. In practice, this lets a head of IT connect an existing BI platform — Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent — to a structured feed from ERPx, without manual exports. For a municipality running multiple satellite systems, this is a step toward a consolidated view without a dedicated integration project.
FIX is aimed directly at CFOs and management controllers: the dashboard delivers a real-time view of operational financial metrics. In the public sector, where budget monitoring must satisfy transparency obligations toward elected officials and citizens, having an up-to-date read during the fiscal year — rather than at month-end — fundamentally changes the nature of decisions that can be made.
Neither tool requires a separate implementation project: both are natively embedded in ERPx, which reduces the scope creep risk commonly seen when analytics layers are bolted on post-go-live.

Unit4 ERPx’s progress in Dutch municipalities sits within a broader trend: public sector IT modernisation across the Netherlands and Belgium is an active programme, with ageing systems being migrated to cloud-native platforms. Municipalities evaluating their ERP trajectory over the next few years will want to track concrete feedback from Delft and Eindhoven — particularly around go-live timelines and the impact on financial processes.
The international public sector expansion (Crona and Owen appointed at global level) suggests Unit4 is looking to replicate this model beyond the Benelux — potentially into Nordic and UK markets, where the vendor already has a significant installed base.
